The next step in our journey!

We have two preschoolers in the house!! They both absolutely love school! They go back and forth over who gets to go. (Corinne goes MWF mornings & Wyatt goes T& TH mornings) So for example, every Monday I hear Corinne say "it's my turn to go to school Wyatt" W: "I get to go tomorrow, sister" C: "then I go the day after that". We have also started swim lessons & Corinne started dance lessons. At which point Mommy & Daddy said you are also both signed up for story time at the library. So no more!! So far they have had one swim & one dance class & tomorrow is Corinne's first story time, next week is Wyatt's.  They both love swim. Wyatt has Daddy's gene's and thinks he is a fish. After class he said his favorite part was "the scuba diving", Corinne liked swimming on her tummy best.  Dance class is just the cutest thing ever! She is doing ballet & tap. All the tiny ballerina's running around is just stinkin' adorable!

1st day of preschool 4's
1st day of preschool 3's
Dinosaur invasion!
silly Corinne!

Wyatt is 3 now!!! Despite the week the poor kid had before the party, he had a fantastic party. Dinosaurs came and he was so excited to see all the footprints left behind from them! ;)

Today, we Wii

Today the kids (ie Corinne) asked to play the Wii, funny because she has played it like once before in her life, and it was quite a while ago! We are not a house of gamers, so in the 2 years we have had the Wii, we still only have the fitness game that came with it. So, that meant the kids were going to play sports. Corinne caught right on & loves the bowling and baseball if someone who can keep up is playing with her.  She is actually really good at bowling! poor Wyatt.  the Wii remote is NOT toddler friendly. poor kid could not figure out how to hold it and push a button on the back of it at the same time, it was not making sense.  But he gave it the ol college try! Mommy assisting, he didn't do too bad at bowling.  Baseball was not happening at all.  He kept telling me "no ball to throw" he was so confused.  The tennis match between them was funny for the spectator, neither child was able to return a serve, but both kids were so excited for the other when they would hit the serve, it was cute! I got the best pictures I could with my phone, I think we will be holding off another Wii tournament for awhile though :o)

He bowls... notice little miss giving him instructions
She won!!!!
He thinks he won because Sister was just celebrating a win!

Baby Girl Turns 4!

It is so hard to believe that it has been 4 years already! It has been amazing watching Corinne grow into a little girl and develop her personality and style.  We celebrated "Four" with a family party the weekend before the big day.  We 'princessed it up', if you will. :o) On the big day, Daddy took off work and started the day off by taking C for their special trip of going to the donut shop! Then we all headed out to Forest Park and went to Steinberg Rink where Daddy took the kids ice skating for their first time! They were so excited! We went out to lunch, at a rest-er-not. :o) That's just one of those words that she is starting to pronounce correctly & it's so stinking cute that it's sad to hear it right :(  The rest of the day was cuddle & play at home, you really don't want play by play on that :)
one of the favorite gifts, a weaving loom from Oma & Opa

A huge hit of a present! Doll house from Nana!
This morning getting ready for preschool Corinne was so excited, she told me this was her first day going to school being 4, she'd never done that before! She also struggled with getting her tights on and informed me "I'm having a complicated issue here"... we are 4 going on 24! Happy 4 my Bean! You are a joy to watch grow!

Long over due

Yes I am long over due, but I have needed to build up a little courage honestly to post something after the last blog.  Anyway. Welcome to the year of our Lord 2012.  My sweet baby girl will be 4 in 11 days and is fast approaching teenhood. Sweet baby Wyatt is 2 and talking up a storm, needing to do everything "self" and informing me the other day of the colors of the markers in a package.  They are growing up too fast right in front of me.  I am going to challenge myself to blog more & photograph (okay is that REALLY possible?) more.  And I will do everything I can to keep updating the blog with pictures and little antidotes of our daily lives.

Grandpa Bicker

What do you call your Great-Grandpa? In our house Great-Grandpa is "Grandpa Bicker".  Most of you know by now that the last week and a half/two weeks has literally been one thing after another for Grandpa Bicker.  He is now currently up in UW Madison Hospital.  I thought I would share some of the things Corinne has brought to the table on all of this. (not to leave Wyatt out, because he did make Grandpa Bicker a really nice card, but.. he just doesn't have the verbal skills his sister does ;o)
APRIL 11: Corinne was singing & didn't know I could hear her.. luckily I'm quick to write things down so this is her song: "Grandpa Bicker feel your heart and don't be sad when you don't feel good I'll help you so you don't feel good like this tractor"
APRIL 16: Corinne has a melt down at supper and tells me "I want to see Grandpa Bicker before he goes to heaven with Grandpa" (clarification- Grandpa is my dad)  OUCH. Thanks to Aunt Deb for finding Bonnie & Jacqui to watch Wyatt,  kids & I are able to be on the road a few hours after this to see Grandpa Bicker.
APRIL 17: Decision was made that it best Corinne not actually see Grandpa Bicker, but she has fun hanging out in the hospital with Grandma Bicker & Aunt Deb, Uncle Dave & KaLena.  Aunt Deb gives her three pennies for the wishing fountain.  wish 1-"a car!!" wish 2-"I wish Grandpa Bicker would feel better" wish 3-"a car, I want another car!"  I showed Corinne the hallway that Grandpa Bicker was "down" and the doors you had to go through to see him & she blew him a kiss.  She had packed her princess dolls, she had wanted to give him Cinderella so that "it wouldn't hurt when he saw the doctor's"
APRIL 19: Corinne wants to go back to see Grandma & Grandpa Bicker.  I think a long trip home over the summer might be just what the Cinderella Dr. ordered!
